Below is a list of the Party Policies released by the Federal Government.

Policy for Early Childhood
•
Plan for high quality childcare: giving parents peace of mind.
Quality Child Care Policy Document
•
Increase the Childcare Tax Rebate to 50% – covering up to $7,500 of out-of-pocket costs per child
•
Pay the 50% Child Care Tax Rebate quarterly – giving parents up to an additional $875 quarterly or $67 per week.

Advocating for 12 months Unpaid Maternity Leave - Media Statement

Enable the Childcare Hotline to inform parents of fees being charged by services
•
Establish 260 new long day care services on school sites

Work and Family Policy document

Provide access to 15 hours of free pre-school programs for all four-year-old children led by qualified teachers. Education is a state responsibility including pre-schools.

New Directions for Early Childhood Education Paper
•
Establish six autism centres to provide intensive autism-related services for pre-school aged children and also endorse the Liberal policy to fund autism diagnosis and intervention services.
