Honorary membership and honorary life membership are designed to celebrate and recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions of people working with and within Family Day Care Australia. It is about recognising people whose service and contributions have had the effect of making a significant difference to the organisation.

Bron Lowe (2007)

   

In June 2007 Bron Lowe was awarded Life Membership for her commitment to Family Day Care Australia, including six years as its President from 2001-2006. Under her leadership the organisation proactively managed many changes including a change of name, vision, mission and logo, the creation of the 2004-07 Strategic Plan, and a governance and management review which resulted in the establishment of a CEO position.

   
   

Lyn Chapman (2006)

    

Lyn Chapman has been associated with the family day care sector for over 20 years with involvement at local, state and national levels as a state delegate to NFDCCA, service manager, consultant, facilitator, trainer and critical friend.

   

She was awarded Life Membership for her work with Family Day Care Australia which encompassed sharing her expertise in education, community services and business management.

   
   

June Walker (2006)

   

One her retirement in August 2006, June was awarded Life Membership for her work with Family Day Care Australia spanning almost 20 years. In the 90s June was an active Council Delegate and her keen understanding of public administration systems, the machinations of Centrelink and the CCB in its various guises provided FDCA with invaluable support in our policy positions to Government.
