National members' forum

FDCA’s commitment to representing the family day care community through consultation with the grass roots of the sector remains an intrinsic part of our organisation and is critical to our ongoing success as a national peak body.

In 2009 a revised National Members' Forum constitution was passed by the membership which adopted a smaller, skills-based Board structure, together with a national representative and consultative group known as the National Members’ Forum (NMF).

The sixteen member NMF comprises one educator representative and one coordination unit representative from each state and territory. These sixteen representatives meet several times a year and serve as a conduit between the national peak and the grass roots of the sector.
