As a member of Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) our focus is on representing, supporting and promoting you so that you can provide great outcomes for the children and families you support.
When you become a member of FDCA you join a network of early childhood educators and service professionals across Australia and you are making a vital contribution to our work in supporting, promoting and representing the sector. As your national, not-for-profit, peak body, your investment in us, is an investment in a stronger future for family day care.
Changes in child care policy can have a significant impact on our sector. As a member we will help you understand your regulatory environment, stay up to date with changes that affect you and to have your say on and influence child care policy.
During 2019-2020 we will:
Implement a comprehensive Sector Viability Strategy that will first assess and document the key barriers to ongoing sector viability and growth and then, actively work with regulators and policy makers at the state and territory level and also at the Commonwealth level to address these issues.
Explore how the family day care sector does or can intersect with preschools and preschool programs and examine whether it might be possible for family day care services to transition to delivering a preschool program. As your national peak body, FDCA is always looking to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the family day care sector. As such we are continuously looking at opportunities that may present services with the potential to enhance their service offering to families.
As a member you also have the opportunity to:
Contribute to member surveys and consultations on issues as they arise
