Nomination Criteria
Family Day Care Australia is celebrating excellence in family day care by recognising outstanding educators across the country.
We want you to tell us why your educator deserves to be recognised for their excellent service. You may wish to consider:
- How does the educator support your child's or other children's learning and development?
- How does the educator demonstrate a professional approach to your child’s or other children's early childhood education and care?
- What is unique about the educator and why should they be selected as the National Educator of the Year?
Selection Criteria for Supporting Submissions
Submissions for the Excellence in Family Day Care Awards should reflect on the past 12-months only and provide as many practical and specific examples as possible.
Submissions received by educators will be evaluated on the following questions being addressed:
- Describe a moment where you have empowered children in your care to be active participants in their own learning and development.
- Tell us about how you have planned and implemented your educational program this year and why you might be especially proud of it.
- Share an example of how a child, family in your care or your local community inspired something new in your learning environment or program.
- As a family day care educator, what has been your proudest moment in the last 12 months?
