At Family Day Care Australia (FDCA), we are committed to continuously improving the ways in which we support and safeguard the wellbeing of children across the country. As part of this commitment, we regularly review and adapt our policies to reflect current best practice in child safety and privacy.
FDCA will no longer share or repost images of children where they are identifiable. This includes images in which children’s faces are visible, as well as those where faces are obscured using elements such as emojis, stickers or other digital alterations.
This decision follows careful consideration and research and is based on one key principle: once an image is shared online, we can no longer control how it is used or distributed, regardless of our original intentions.
FDCA will now use images where children are not identifiable.*
We recognise that some existing materials may still include identifiable images of children across FDCA’s channels. We are committed to reviewing and updating these materials in line with this policy wherever possible.
Any questions regarding this policy can be directed to marketing@fdca.com.au
*In some instances, identifiable images may be used by FDCA for specific marketing and promotional purposes with strict permission from parents and guardians.
