Submit your QIP and support the next round of Exceeding NQS Case Studies

Are you passionate about continuous improvement? Are you looking for ways to contribute to a greater understanding of the family day care sector?

If the answer is YES, read on!

Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) is working with ACECQA to highlight examples of exceeding practice within the family day care sector.

We are pleased to have supported ACECQA in developing the first round of family day care specific Exceeding National Quality Standard (NQS) Case Studies, which you can access here: https://www.acecqa.gov.au/assessment/exceeding-nqs.

Now, we’re looking to support the development of a second round of case studies and need your help!

We invite you to submit your service’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to provide us with real examples from real family day care leaders of the NQS in practice.

The information we gather from your QIP may assist ACECQA to create case studies that are evidence-based and true to the practices and priorities of our sector. Please note that your information will be held in confidence by FDCA and any excerpts shared with ACECQA will be de-identified.

The second round of case studies will focus specifically on the following areas of the NQS:

  • Standard 1.2: Educators facilitate and extend each child’s learning and development.
  • Standard 2.2: Each child is protected.
  • Standard 4.1: Staffing arrangements enhance children's learning and development.
  • Standard 5.2: Each child is supported to build and maintain sensitive and responsive relationships.
  • Standard 7.1: Governance supports the operation of a quality service.

This project is part of our ongoing commitment to represent the sector and support educators and services to uphold the values of the NQS.

We encourage you to take part and submit your QIP to enquiries@fdca.com.au, or contact us on 1800 658 699 for more information.
