Services must provide families with at least 14 days notice before making any changes to the method used for collecting gap fee payments or updating the fee schedule.
When a fee schedule is updated, services must also ensure that each child’s care arrangement is reviewed and updated as needed. The most common arrangement type is the Complying Written Arrangement (CWA).
Each CWA must include:
Services must notify the Department of any change to the care arrangement within seven days, either through the Provider Entry Point (PEP) or via their third-party software provider.
Information on both enrolments and notifications can be found on the Australian Department of Education website.
ACECQA has released a new child enrolment record template to support early childhood education and care services in strengthening their enrolment processes.
These practical resources are designed to help services maintain accurate enrolment records and meet the requirements of Regulations 160, 161 and 162 under the National Regulations.
While services are encouraged to consider using the new template, there’s no requirement to update existing enrolment forms if current processes already comply with legislative requirements.
The enrolment template is available in two formats:

Educators are invited to participate in a new study being conducted by researchers at Deakin University. The goal of the research is to learn more about family day care educators’ sense of belonging to the early childhood education and care (ECEC) profession.
With a lack of national studies related specifically to family day care, educators are often largely unrepresented when policy decisions are being considered relating to national workforce initiatives.
The Deakin University study is designed to address this issue by understanding how you, as family day care educators, feel a sense of belonging within the ECEC workforce.

Who can participate?
