2020 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards - Gala Dinner Update

In light of the current COVID-19 border restrictions and public health guidelines, FDCA has made the difficult decision to cancel the Awards Gala Dinner scheduled to take place at the Stamford Hotel in Adelaide on Saturday February 27 2021.

In lieu of the Gala Dinner, we will bring our national finalists to Canberra for a more intimate celebration of their accomplishments. This significant reduction in numbers and change of jurisdiction provides the best possible opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of our winners in a COVID safe manner.

We will also share the inspiring stories of our 2020 national finalists via social media in the lead up to the announcement of the 2020 Award winners.

FDCA thanks all of our members for their understanding and ongoing support of the Awards during these unprecedented times.

We look forward to continuing to represent, support and promote our members and the family day care sector in the New Year.

Time is running out to have your say on vital research into family day care!

Access the survey here.

Whether you are an educator, coordination unit staff member or an approved provider, make sure your voice is heard in a significant new study exploring what leadership looks like in a family day care context.

This study is your chance to participate in vital research focusing specifically on the family day care sector and we strongly encourage all of our members to take part. The survey is quick and easy to complete and doesn’t require you to give your name.

The survey is closing at the end of January 2021, so make sure to get in quick.

To date, more than 500 approved providers, coordination staff and educators have completed the survey. We are very grateful for their time and effort in completing the survey.

What do I need to do to participate in the study?

Complete and submit the online survey. The survey asks questions about you, your work in family day care and your views and experiences of leadership within the sector and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Remember to submit your answers at the final step!

We strongly encourage you to share the survey with other educators, service staff and approved providers across your network.

If you have any questions about the survey, or the vital research it supports, please contact us at enquiries@fdca.com.au.
