It's also a chance for governments, services, families and children to thank early childhood professionals across the country and promote the benefits of early years education.

We encourage you to take the time today to wish each other a happy Early Childhood Educator’s Day and plan an event or activity to mark this important occasion!

ACECQA National Workforce Strategy update

Education Ministers across the country have this week endorsed the Shaping Our Future: Implementation and Evaluation Plan. This document details how the 21 national workforce actions arising from the National Children’s Education and Care Workforce Strategy (2022-2031) will be progressed, monitored and reviewed.

Background

The National Workforce Strategy was originally developed and published to support the recruitment, retention, sustainability and quality of the sector workforce.

In October 2021, Education Ministers approved the publication of the strategy and requested work commence on an implementation and evaluation plan, to guide collaborative efforts to achieve the strategy’s objectives.

As members of the national stakeholder reference group, FDCA will continue to ensure that the voice of our membership and the needs of our sector are reflected in workforce strategies.

Bring your marketing campaigns to life with the Family Day Care Photo Library
