Federal Government ushers in new Minister for Early Childhood Education

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced his Government’s full Ministry following the ALP forming a majority government.

Dr Anne Aly MP, Member for Cowan in WA, has been appointed the Minister for Early Childhood Education, replacing the Hon Amanda Rishworth MP in her role of Shadow Minister for Early Childhood Education and Development.

A prominent multicultural leader within her home state, Dr Aly is Australia’s first female Muslim Minister in history. Prior to being elected to Parliament for the first time in 2016, Dr Aly worked as an academic at both Curtin University and Edith Cowan University with a focus on counter terrorism and countering violent extremism and has held a number of senior positions within the Western Australian Public Service.

FDCA looks forward to building a relationship with Dr Aly as she takes on the portfolio of Early Childhood Education, and progressing our Election Policy Commitment Requests.

The E-Book allows users to customise the names of the E-Book’s main characters - including the main child, the parent, the educator and the name of the family day care - to make the story personal to them and their children.

FDCA members are currently able to create and download as many electronic versions of the E-Book as they would like, free of charge from any desktop device.

Now, 200 lucky members will also receive one FREE hard copy version to display at their business or service, or pass on to families starting care!
