In response to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in Sydney, the lockdown restrictions applying to the Greater Sydney area will remain in place until at least Friday 30 July 2021 in accordance with the NSW Premier’s announcement this morning.
We urge services and educators in NSW to keep up to date with the latest information on restrictions by visiting the NSW Government website here.
One important new requirement is that as of this Monday 12 July 2021, Service NSW check-in with a QR code is now mandatory for early childhood education and care services.
This includes family day care residences.

FDCA has received a number of enquiries from NSW members about their ability to waive gap fees, allowable absences and the recently announced support packages for NSW businesses. We are following up with the relevant departments on behalf of our members in NSW and will advise as soon as we have any details.
COVID restrictions of varying degrees are also in place for Victoria, Queensland, Northern Territory, and Western Australia.

To submit your FDC Educator Hacks entry, simply send us a Facebook message here with:
- Your FDCA membership number;
- A high resolution photograph or video of your creation; AND
- 100 words or less on how your creation fits this month’s theme and how it connects to the NQS.
Submissions for our June FDC Educator Hacks will close at 11:59pm on Friday 23 July 2021, with the winner to be notified and announced on our Facebook page on Friday 30 July 2021.
